Notes that tell stories about Oporto
The main theme on this path is the connection between the city of Oporto and paper money, and it is easy to see that the chronology associated with it has a common denominator: the 20th century. All the notes were issued during the 20th century.
Nevertheless, there is another chronological link between the notes and the buildings, monuments and people portrayed in them: we now refer to 19th century Oporto. We will see the historic path of this city forged on the strength of its inhabitants, and we will highlight the buildings that bear witness to a past in which architecture played such an important part. |
